This year, we’re excited to announce the first annual VGC High School Invitational! Taking place Friday, February 27th and Saturday, February 28, 2026 at the Pitman Center on the University of Idaho campus in Moscow,

High School teams will battle it out for a grand prize of $1000 dollars in scholarships or club funds. Schools can register multiple teams of three for Rocket League and teams of four for Smash Ultimate.

We will also be running a high school Smash Ultimate singles bracket. Stay tuned for schedule updates on this and the team events as we are adjusting the schedule based on entries.

The 2026 Invitational will be a great opportunity for students interested in esports, featuring a professional broadcast, live commentary, and a tournament structure similar to high level leagues.

High School Tournament Registration

Registration will need to be submitted by the adult chaperone/coach for the team. If you are completing the form for multiple teams and/or titles, please do a separate form submission for each team.

FAQ

We’re allowing two teams per title per school. So you can bring two Smash Ultimate teams and two Rocket League teams. You are allowed subs up to the number of starters (i.e. 6 total for RL or 8 total for Smash). On the Smash Ultimate singles side, you can have up to 10 players per school.

Anyone of any skill level is allowed to participate!

Nope! The whole team just needs to be currently enrolled at the same high school.

We’ll be providing everything needed to play! Headphones, mice, keyboards, and controllers. Players are welcome to bring their own peripherals and controllers
